To expand our offerings at Strike Fear I'm playing around with designs that look good on hats and sweatpants. I have a few already in the pipeline that I've been field testing and the response from the public is encouraging.
The process I use to see if designs are worth mass producing is simple. I create demo's of each design in vinyl and apply them to a product. After taking a few weeks to wear the design gauge public reactions I decide if they're worth turning into a test line.
There are a couple of stores in my local area what I sell apparel from. Once I have a demo that I think will sell I make some copies of them and put them into stores. If they sell fast then I know I have a winner and I move to mass producing the clothing and place them online.
This process has done me well so far and helped me produce designs that sell well. These stores have our sweatpants in them at the moment and have created some clear winners. They're moving into production and hopefully they'll be up online soon!
